Our commitment

Nesivos Behavioral Health wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, screen magnification, or captions.

The standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. It is the standard most often used to measure website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it includes everything in WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

What we have done

  • Text and background colors adjusted so all text meets the required contrast, including text placed over photographs
  • Every page has a main content area and a single top level heading, so screen reader users can move around by structure
  • Icon links, such as phone and email links, have names a screen reader can announce
  • Keyboard focus is visible, the tab order is logical, and scrollable areas can be reached with a keyboard
  • Links in text are underlined so they do not rely on color alone
  • Buttons and links are large enough to tap easily
  • Our video has English captions
  • Our contact form fields are labeled, and the cookie banner can be used with a keyboard

We checked every page at desktop, tablet, and phone sizes with automated testing tools, measured color contrast directly on the rendered pages, and tested with a keyboard.

Known limitations

  • Employment application. The application linked from the Apply menu is a PDF you print and fill in by hand. If you need it in another format, or help completing it, contact us and we will provide an accessible alternative.
  • Spam protection. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, a third party service we do not control. If it stops you from sending a message, please call or email us instead.
  • Video captions. Captions were prepared carefully but may contain small errors in names or terms. Tell us if you notice one.
