Where there is support, there can be success
When a teen is under emotional strain, it takes a toll on their parents and siblings who grapple with confusion, guilt, helplessness, and worry.
How can we help our struggling teen?
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP/PHP) is a structured mental health treatment program that allows your teen to receive intensive care while living at home. It’s ideal for youth who may not require 24-hour supervision but do need a more structured level of support than traditional therapy can provide.
Our mental health intensives: Deep therapeutic support in a safe, structured setting
Our mental health intensives are comprehensive, trauma-informed programs designed to provide deep therapeutic support for up to 5 consecutive days. These all-day sessions are held on-site in a focused and supportive environment, allowing participants to step away from daily distractions and immerse themselves in their healing journey. With a combination of individual therapy, group sessions, psychoeducation, and experiential modalities, our intensives offer a powerful, transformative experience. Tailored to adults facing complex emotional challenges, this program aims to foster resilience, insight, and lasting growth in a safe, structured setting led by skilled clinicians.

Trauma-informed Treatment

Progressive Counting (PC):
Progressive counting is a structured, trauma-informed therapy that helps individuals process traumatic memories in a gradual and controlled way. By guiding clients through a series of progressively longer memory recounts, it aims to reduce the emotional impact of traumatic experiences. This method helps individuals gain insights, resolve lingering distress, and build resilience by integrating difficult memories into a more balanced narrative.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR):
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that uses guided eye movements to help individuals process and reframe traumatic memories. By focusing on specific distressing memories while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds, EMDR helps the brain process these memories and reduce their emotional intensity, allowing clients to move towards healing and improved emotional well-being.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy:
Sensorimotor psychotherapy is a body-centered therapy that combines talk therapy with somatic techniques to help individuals process trauma stored in the body. This approach recognizes the body’s role in trauma and focuses on increasing awareness of bodily sensations, movements, and physical responses to traumatic experiences. By fostering a deeper connection between body and mind, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy helps clients develop new, adaptive ways of managing stress and trauma.
Flash Technique:
The Flash technique is a relatively new, rapid intervention designed to reduce the emotional distress associated with traumatic memories. Unlike traditional methods, this technique involves minimal exposure to the trauma itself, allowing clients to think about a pleasant memory while the therapist directs their attention to the traumatic memory in a very brief and indirect manner. This approach is particularly effective for those who may find direct exposure to trauma too distressing, offering a gentle yet effective path toward healing.
